One real story, told honestly.

We are in early access, so there is no wall of logos here and we are not going to fake one. What there is: one live app moving onto AffinEQ, with what has been proved, what hasn’t, and when the people running it will say what they think.

AvenueX StoreFirst app moving in · avenuex.store

A social marketplace for African markets.

AvenueX is a live store: shoppers discover products from sellers near them, watch shopping stories, chat with stores and shop with an assistant, in Kenyan shillings. It was built before AffinEQ existed, for another platform: a self-hosted Supabase, with real customers, orders and payments.

That is exactly why it is our first test. An app written for another platform shows what we forgot to build far better than an app we wrote ourselves. It is also the app we most want to be good for.

  • Imported as a copy on 1 October, without touching the live system. Every table and every user count matches the original.
  • Its server code runs on Workers without a rewrite, through our Supabase compatibility layer.
  • Restored from backup in a drill, and read back as the project’s own users, in about four seconds.
  • Not cut over yet. The copy runs beside the original. Before its writes move, the off-host backup has to exist and be proved.
  • Real SMS for sign-in is still to come, and some of its shoppers sign in by phone.
In their words

When they have something to say, it goes here.

We only publish words a customer has actually said, and AvenueX hasn’t said any yet, because it hasn’t run on AffinEQ in production yet. When it has, this page will carry what the team thinks, including what went wrong, and the numbers that moved.

You can follow how the move is going on the blog and in the changelog.

Be next

Be one of the first, and shape what we build.

The early customers decide the order we build in. We pay attention to what real apps run into more than to any roadmap.

Move an app over

If you are on Supabase, we will copy it, compare it, and switch when it is boring. Other sources are on the way.
